Welcome to the student culture in Bergen- great involvement in 100 student organizations As a student in Bergen you have a very good and varied range of cultural happenings. It is created and run by the students themselves, and you are invited to take part in the student culture either as a participant or as a guest. Kulturstyret is the junction for the variety of the student organizations and contributes with both vital economical and practical support. Our goal is that you as a student should have great cultural experiences, and that we will continue to have a great involvement and a high standard of quality in the approximately 100 student organizations that exists, and the new ones that are being established. You will find a great variety in categories such as music and theater, humanitarian, political and religious organizations or student media. About Kulturstyret: Kulturstyret is Velferdstinget in Bergens executive body for culture politics and takes care of all questions involving culture political issues. We shall contribute to strengthen the cultural and social activities for students connected to [url=http://www.sib.uib.no]Studentsamskipnaden in Bergen (SiB)[/url]. Kulturstyret grants about 1 million kroner to the student culture in Bergen every year. Our support includes operation support and magazine support with an application deadline on the 15th of February, and also project support. Kulturstyret is also a competence body which has regular courses, and can also be contacted for help and support for both new and existing organizations. We also offer offices and practice rooms for bands, choirs and orchestras. In addition to that we also try to make the student culture more visible to the outside. We approach the audience, the business community, the public and our business partners to help with arrangements for the activities and to create better conditions for the culture. |
